Mill Beach Seaside Resort was founded by Daniel William Kingston in 1947.
The 16 acre site, on the banks on the beautiful Blackwater Estuary, was perfect for his dream of providing quality, value-for-money accommodation to cater for the growing post-war trend for Londoners to take holidays away from home.
Mill Beach Seaside Resort was an immediate success, and quickly moved on from offering pitches for camping and home-made caravans to providing well-organised, privately-owned, static caravan holiday homes. The company passed to Daniel’s son, Rupert, in the late 1970s and Mill Beach continued to increase in popularity.
The Resort is now run by Rupert’s son, Matthew, who, while ensuring Mill Beach continues to move with the times in a sympathetic way, remains committed to upholding the family principles of value for money, quality and friendly service.
